Explore the samples available for psychiatric research
Through PBN, cerebrospinal fluid, blood, and blood derivatives are available from an ever-increasing cohort of individuals with schizophrenia and bipolar spectrum disorders, as well as healthy controls. We employ rigorous quality control measures to maintain the highest standards.
PBN
The Psychiatric Biomarkers Network (PBN) was established in 2021 to accelerate the discovery of promising new diagnostic and progression biomarkers for Schizophrenia and Biopolar Disorder.
Study Participants
PBN includes samples collected from over 100 participants diagnosed on the Schizophrenic Spectrum, the Bipolar Spectrum and neurologically normal individuals, also known as healthy controls (HC). Many PBN participants have been seen every 6 months for the past 4 years.
Samples and data are available from more than 2500 individuals.
Available Data - COMING SOON
The PBN study collects a standardized minimum data set. The data generated from the PBN samples are managed by the PBN Broad Data Team.
CLINICAL: clinical symptoms scales, measures of cognition (WebCNP)
IMAGING: structural and functional neuroimaging
BIOLOGIC: targeted ELISAs, unbiased proteomics and metabolomics
GENETIC: blended genome exome sequencing
Available Biospecimens
DNA, RNA, and PBMCs from blood, plasma, serum, CSF, and CSF pellets.
Although PBN makes every effort to verify all data and information, it cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions in the distributed data.
